James is classical guitarist based in Paonia, CO. He studied classical guitar under Alissa Catlin in St. Louis, winning the MLC Guitar Grant in St. Louis, awarding him a concert guitar bulit by Illinois luthier Keith Adams. He continued his sudies at under Anne Waller at Northwestern University where he completed a BA in Music. He has also studied privately with Adam Holzman and Ian Watt. James performs regularly around the North Fork Valley, and enjoys playing a variety of styles.
